Space weather research addresses understanding of the physics of the connected Sun-Earth system.

The Space Weather Lab at George Mason University was formally established in October 2006 and is part of the Department of Physics and Astronomy.  The SWL emphasizes multidisciplinary science that crosses traditional departmental boundaries. Students in our space weather program will develop a deep understanding of the Sun, the heliosphere, geospace, and their interactions.
